Jamal Adams sorry for calling one other QB ‘Broadway Joe’
Jamal Adams made one other social media splash — this time triggering some Jets followers.
The Jets outspoken linebacker, who attended LSU, tweeted out some love for “Broadway Joe” in help of star quarterback Joe Burrow who led the Tigers to a giant 46-41 win over rival Alabama on Saturday in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
That didn’t go over nicely for a lot of followers on Twitter who know just one “Broadway Joe” — Joe Namath. Apparently, Namath attended Alabama and stays a giant Crimson Tide fan.
After getting some instant backlash, Adams mentioned sorry to Jets nation.
“Jets followers… apologies,” Adams tweeted. “Joe Burrow obtained us our first Bama win in eight years. Let the thrill get the very best of me lol! @RealJoeNamath continues to be the [GOAT] & that received’t ever change. Simply wished to indicate LSU & Burrow some Luv.”
However not everybody gave Adams grief with some tweeting Jets followers had been oversensitive and others including that they might love Burrow to come back to Gang Inexperienced.
This wasn’t the primary time not too long ago Adams obtained some blowback for a social media submit. He blasted Joe Douglas on Twitter after the NFL commerce deadline, ripping the final supervisor and saying Douglas “went behind my again” to buy him to different groups. That led to a multiple-day information cycle earlier than each events put the controversy to relaxation.
